Cable drum rack in a shipyard
Heavy cable drums with different sizes and weights are stored without any loss of space in solid OHRA cantilever racks. The height of the rack is 4,500 mm with a usable depth of 1,400 mm and 1,200 mm, dependent on the diameter of the drums.
Our static and construction department calculated the ideal dimensions of the saddle-tubes which are fixed with the arms. The drums cannot roll out of the rack, and therefore they stay in the required position.
Due to the heavy loads and the poor load capacity of the floor, a special construction has been designed to distribute the loads of the frames onto a larger area. For the exterior use, the racks have been delivered galvanised and assembled by specialised fitters.
